She was predeceased by: her husband A. D. Adams; her son John P. Gilbert; her great grandchild Riley Gilbert; her parents, Thomas D. Phillips and Frances Phillips (Morgan); and her sisters, Carol Hardeman and Charlotte Swaney.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Gilbert (Diane) of Fayetteville, Thomas Gilbert (Melissa) of McDonough and Wayne Gilbert (Michelle) of Fayetteville; her stepchildren, Angela McClure of Jonesboro and Anthony Adams of Union City; and her sister Judy Sallis (Jim) of Fayetteville. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren: and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
