He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Chester Upchurch and Katherine Sowell Upchurch; and his brothers, Edward and Randall Upchurch. He is survived by: his wife Mae Floyd Upchurch; his brother Warren Upchurch; his sons, Kevin (April) and Keith Upchurch (Kelli); and his grandchildren, Clay (Brittiny), Taylor (Katlyn), Landon, Olivia, John, Katie Upchurch and Nicholas Sparks. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
