He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Rex Coplen and Esther Agnes Goldwire; his children, Brian Coplen (Yanmei) and Katherine Mejia (Eduardo); his grandchildren, Zhaoru Wu, Murray Wu, Alyssa Coplen, Briana Mejia and Gabi Mejia; and his siblings, David Coplen and Marsha Coplen.
