She was predeceased by: her father Willie Hugh; her husband John Ellis Mayo, Jr.; her sisters, Carol Parris and Sandra Thurston; and her stepdaughters, Karen McEver and Kim Grider.

She is survived by: her children, Tamie Stiles (Donald) of McDonough and Dallas Mayo (Jessica) of McDonough; her grandchildren, Danielle Murphy (Taylor), Haley Grider, Jordyn Stiles, Ryley Stiles, Seth Evans, Lilly Mayo, Kathryn Mayo, Caroline Mayo, Katie Mayo and Levi Mayo; her great grandchild Rowland Murphy; and her siblings, Bill Barnes (Linda) of Jackson and Debbie Lunsford of McDonough.
