She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Norton and Lola Bell Norton; her husband James Alvin McCart; and her granddaughter Cassie Lyn McCart. She is survived by: her children, Alvin McCart, Jerry McCart (Terri) and Lisa Scroggins (Chad); her daughter-in-law Denise; her sister Jane St. Amour; her grandchildren, Larea Thornton (Chris), Jay McCart (Brandee), Taylor Fradenburg (Hil), Carley Scroggins, Cole Scroggins and Bray Scroggins; and her great grandchildren, Devin Thornton, Riley Thornton (Caroline), Kalin Thornton, Avery McCart, Ashton McCart and Kenley Jones. She is also survived by several other family members, friends.
In 1985 she received the "Ann Kugler" award for her contribution to the World Karting Association.
