We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2023, at the age of 88, Ruth LaWanda Burgett (McDonough, Georgia), born in San Bruno, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Carter and Ruth Carter; her husband Larry Burgett; her brothers, Clinton Carter (Margaret) and Leon "Buddy" Carter (Lynnell); and her great grandchild Justice Burgett.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Burgett (Cindy), Connie White (Joel), Joy Stanford (Russ), Becky Hutchison and Esther Stroup (Joe); and her brother Richard Carter (Donna). She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Larry and Ruth Burgett Memorial Fund benefitting the renovation of their first church established in Japan.
