He was predeceased by: his father John Vernon; his son John Vernon Bowman II; and his brothers, Richard Anderson and Reid Bowman Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Renee Luther (Ricky) and Gary Bowman (Carol). He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the Henry County Animal Shelter or the Henry County Humane Society.
