She was predeceased by: her parents, Opal Mae Adkisson (Tate) and Louis Adkisson; and her brother Joseph Adkisson. She is survived by: her daughter Brandi Howard; her husband Cecil Howard (Pete); her son Barry Howard (Whitley); her grandchildren, Priest, Solomon, Phoebe, Ethan, Laurale and Azari Maurice Howard; her sisters, Margie Murry, Diane Cargile and Melinda Adkisson; her siblings-in-law, Linda Howard, Betty Howard, Cornelius and Waverly; and her nieces and nephews, Dion Adkisson (Latrice), George Pillow (Eddie), Christopher A. Pillow, Shawna Moore, Markita Williams, Dionsia, Taylor, Layla, Zaine, Aidan, Skylar, Carter, Liliana and Alexa.
In memory of Peggy, donations may be made to her university, Wilberforce University, her children's universities, Morehouse College, and Bennett College.
