She was predeceased by: her parent Willie Guess Langley; her husband James E. Gibbons; her son Amos Jerald Shipp; and her siblings, John Douglas Langley and Ruth Langley Butler.

She is survived by: her children, Millie Rebecca Hoffman, Diana Marie Green and Jim Gibbons (Cindy); her sister Grace Langley Sheffield; and her sister-in-law Muriel Langley. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
