She was predeceased by: her husband J. C. Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Ray Mitchell of Hampton, GA, Judy McNair (Frank) of Hampton, GA and Charlotte Noon of McDonough, GA.; her grandchildren, Natalie Grubbs (Rob), Sherri Pruitt (Irby), Gina Thater (Todd), Kim Mitchell, Michelle Little (Brian), Tracy Anderson and Wendy Wrye (Phil); and her great grandchildren, Robbie Grubbs, Josh Grubbs, Brielle Grubbs, Olivia Pruitt, Brock Thater, Evan Little, Blake Little, Jack Anderson, Meredith Wrye and Kendell Wrye.

In honoring Lucy's legacy of love and caring for others, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's research in her name.
