It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Richard Blackburn Sr. (McDonough, Georgia), who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Ray Blackburn and Zelma Clark Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Linda Bernhard Blackburn; his sons, Leon Richard Blackburn, Jr. (Sandra Price Blackburn) and Anthony Clark Blackburn (Tracy Renee Blackburn); his grandchildren, Amanda Cari Blackburn (Stewart Michael Ussery), Anthony Clark Blackburn, Jr. (Sydney Cheyenne Webb), Jackson Anthony DiSario and Payton Renee DiSario; and his great grandchildren, Avery Connor Blackburn and Jackson Stewart Ussery.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to McDonough First United Methodist Church, honoring Leon's commitment to his faith and community.
