He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Newton and Rebecca Gordon Newton; and his siblings, Irene C. Murray, Ruby Blackmon, Virginia Richardson and Eugene Newton.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Newton, Aimee McDowell and Ashley Smith; his grandchildren, Chrishaun, Darius, Alyasia, Jaida and Daylen; his siblings, James Newton (Deborah), Otis Larry Newton (Linda), Barbie Sims (Billy), Darrell Newton, Brenda Allen (Richard), Shirley Campbell (Vinson), Marvin Newton (Mary), Kelvin Newton (Sandra), Sylvia Williams and George White; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Newton and George White. He is also survived by nephews, nieces.
