It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Long (McDonough, Georgia), born in Pompano Beach, Florida, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Long, Sr. and Katie Long; his niece Shereka Harris; his sister Valerie Long; and his nephew Chris Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Long; his children, Nakia Ewings (Ne'Keya), Marques Long and Kennydra Long; his grandsons, Austin Ewings and Johnathan Cain, Jr.; his siblings, Tommy Bowers (Mary), Arthur Long (Sara), Clarence Long, Derrick Long (Anita), Jean Peterson (Richard), Gwen Long and Leslie Long; his cousin Norris Pollock (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Le'Sia Parker and Hammad Karim (Zaheerah Aleem). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Haisten Funerals & Cremations (1745 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (262 Macon St, McDonough, GA 30253).
