With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Swaney of McDonough, Georgia, who passed away on August 14, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Swinney and Mary Swinney; and her brothers, Leonard Swinney and C. A. Swinney. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Irving Swaney; her children, Jill S. Hardy of Stockbridge, Donald Swaney (Lynne) of Loganville and Jennifer White of McDonough; her grandchildren, Brandon Hardy, Kristen Melton (Nathan), Ben Swaney (Simcha), Tim Swaney (Jessa), Katie Virkstis (Tyler), Jamie Hagerty (Paul) and Susan Harris; and her great grandchildren, Madison Shaw, Ayden Hardy, Grace Hardy, Crosby Swaney and Lily Virkstis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
