He was predeceased by: his mother Jean Scroggs. He is survived by: his wife Rachel; his daughter Julia Eggland (Daniel); his stepson Tommy Scroggs; his father John T. Scroggs; and his siblings, Ross Scroggs (Mary) and Dody Cochran. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
