She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen S. Chesser and Morris J. Chesser; her husband Carlos Clinton Swafford; and her siblings, Carolyn Wiggins and Morris J. Chesser Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Kovaleski (Rick), Patsy Scharlow (Robin) and Joseph Swafford; her grandchildren, Stacey Ferguson (Jason), Malissa Smith (Chad), Shawna Scharlow (Ashley), Leah Williams (Tyler), Joey Swafford and Natalie Swafford; her great grandchildren, Kayleigh Guerrero (Alex), Elizabeth Roberts (Jeffrey), Marlee Ferguson, Miranda Smith, Zane Smith, Rylynne Scharlow, Sidney Scharlow, Wyatt Scharlow, Ryder Scharlow, Asher Williams, Harrison Williams and Stetson Williams; her great great grandchildren, Mason, Audrey and John Guerrero; her siblings, Larry R. Chesser (Yvonne) of Locust Grove, Shirley Jordan of Lake City and Linda Ferguson (Bill) of Milton; and also Frances Chesser of McDonough. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ford Stewart Funeral Home Inc. (2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens (722 Conley Rd, Forest Park, GA 30297).
