He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Carter and Marjorie Blissit Carter; and his sister Janet Carter Bearden of Tennessee. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Lewis Carter; his children, Holly Cobb (Wes), Carmen Brannan (Jeff) and Jake Carter (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Mallory Bullard (Kyle), Madison Tarleton (Connor), Chad Cobb, Bailey Royer (Braden), Hailey Brannan, Bo Brannan, Karson Carter, Kennedy Carter and Coan Carter; and his great grandchild Katie Bullard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 4 N. Bethany Rd., McDonough, Georgia 30252 in memory of Mr. Jimmy.
