He is survived by: his wife Dale Sheffield; his children, Stacy Young of McDonough, Jay Sheffield (Jan) of Byron and Gary Anthony Sheffield of Fort Valley; his grandchildren, Alayna Brooke Skipper (Skip), Bailey Alton Sheffield, Braydon James Sheffield, David Alton Young and Grayson Maddox Young; his great grandchild Cullen Skipper; and his sister Phyllis Sheffield Brown (Mike). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
