He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Ridling Sr. and Maggie Katheleen Pharr Ridling; and his siblings, William Richard Ridling Jr., Muriel Ridling Street, Ernest Gerald Ridling, Martha Ridling Ash, Kathleen Ridling, Elizabeth Ridling Gay and Jerrie Ridling Worley.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Blanton Ridling; his children, William Richard Ridling (Cyndi), Susan Rebecca Ridling and Wendy Kay Tanner (Sam); his grandchildren, Rusty Allan Ridling (Danielle), Daniel Josh Ridling, Robert Shelby Ridling, Johnathan Matthew Ridling and Josiah Tanner; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Gabriella and Wesley; and his sister Sandra Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
