She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Lawson and Nellie Reese Lawson; and her husband James L. Kempf. She is survived by: her stepson Coleman J. Kempf (Dorothy) of Spring Hill, FL.; and her brother Harvey Lawson (Dorothy) of Lansdowne, VA..

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of McDonough's missions program.
