With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Buffington Floyd of McDonough, Georgia, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Olin Wayne Floyd; her parents, James Edward Buffington and Mae Smith Buffington; her stepmother Ethel Buffington; her sons, Barry and Wade Floyd; her great grandchild Emmie Kate White; and her siblings, Louise Buckley, John, Melvin, James and Paul Buffington.
She is survived by: her children, Mae (Howell Upchurch), Ruth Floyd, Peggy (Ronald Kendrick) and Bruce (Tammy Floyd); and her grandchildren, Kevin, April Upchurch, Keith, Kelli Upchurch, Joe Lanier, Kacie, Garry Floyd, Kyle, Nancy Floyd, Shelley, Lucas Vaughn, Kayla, Wade White, Kole and Katie Floyd. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
