He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Robert and Essie Eugene Johnson; his wife Anna Ruth Johnson; his daughter Christy Freeman; his brothers, Jerry and Wallace Johnson; and his grandson Dan Lewellen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Bunn (Jeremy), Kay Crowley (Kenny) and Gail Hernandez; his brother Bill Johnson (Joyce); and his grandchildren, Cassie, Heath, Gracie Bunn, Mitch Mitchell, Shelly Hulsey, Courtney, Colin Freeman and George Lewellen. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
