Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Phelps of McDonough, Georgia, born in Locust Grove, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 88, on January 26, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Stroud and Alice Mae Haynes; her husband Embry Phelps; her sisters, Annie Grace Duffey and Delois Bell; her children, Marilyn, Gary and Darryl Charles; her children-in-law, Rev. Sheldon Hollis, Harold Irving and Eleanor Phelps; and her grandson Harold S. Irving.
She is survived by: her children, Alvin Phelps (Linda), Beverly Phelps Irving, Detrice Phelps, Robin Phelps Hollis and James Paul Phelps; and her brother Billy Joe Stroud. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church/Mother's Ministry!
