He is survived by: his wife Beanie Essex; his children, Donna Smith of Middleburg, FL, Tom Essex (Mary) of Newnan, Sharon Gaskins (Vernon) of Griffin and Chuck Essex (Sara) of McDonough; and his siblings, Bob Essex of Ponte Vedra, FL, Tim Essex (Bobbie) of Milton, FL and Fran Floyd (Skee) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
