He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lee Whitfield Sr. and Mollie Louise Stewart Whitfield; and his siblings, June Davis (Wayne), Ernest Whitfield Jr. (Gabi), Geraldine Gamble (Gerald) and Glenn Edward Whitfield.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Manning Whitfield; and his sons, Matthew Whitfield (Nikki) and Brad Whitfield (Kasey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Glen Haven Baptist Church (345 E Lake Rd, McDonough, GA 30253). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
