She was predeceased by: her parents, Vertis Turnipseed Sr. and Dazerine Turnipseed; her husband Garfield Davis; her daughters, Felicia Murphy and Tamara Davis; her grandson Joshua Robinson; and her brother Erwin Turnipseed.
She is survived by: her sons, Rodney Murphy and Joel Mondale Davis; her grandchildren, Miracle Davis and Josiah Boston; her great grandchild Paeyton Davis; her siblings, Margaret McDaniel (James), Ola McDaniel, Virginia Johnson, Ira Turnipseed (Angela), Kathy Willis (Larry) and Vertis Turnipseed Jr.; her aunt Catherine Norwood; and her uncle James Turnipseed. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. D. Lemon & Sons Funeral Home - McDonough Chapel (300 Griffin St, McDonough, GA 30253). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Red Oak United Methodist Church (3894 Walt Stephens Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens (6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236).
