He is survived by: his children, Charles Claxton (Rose) and Laura Atencio (Mark); his grandchildren, Meagan Whisenant (Atencio), Aaron Claxton, Mallory Taylor (Atencio), Ryan Claxton, Jeremy Claxton, Kelsey Nickel (Claxton), Matthew Atencio, Elton Claxton, Christopher Claxton and James Claxton; his great grandchildren, Abagail Atencio, Charles Claxton, Zoey Claxton, Aiden Whisenant, Levi Claxton, Arianna Claxton, Henry Nickel, Harvey Claxton, Jack Nickel, Owen Claxton, Rosemarie Claxton, Claire Nickel, Evan Claxton, Oliver Claxton and George Nickel; and his siblings, Gerald, Brian Claxton, Mary Floyd and Jean McDonald.
