She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Shirley and Helen Shirley; and her brother Chuck Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Turner; and her children, Ray Turner, Rebecca Bates (Turner), Ryan Turner, Rick Turner, Rachel Thompson (Turner) and Rob Turner.
In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Brenda's lifelong desire to serve and fill a need, the family requests donations to be made in Brenda's name to the music ministry at People's Baptist Church in order to purchase a new portable keyboard.
