She was predeceased by: her father Emmett Hunt; her husband Max Elmer Phillips; her sons, Murray and Joel Phillips; and her brother Stewart Laney.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Phillips (Carol) of Clarkesville, GA, Ted Phillips (Carol Ann) of Stockbridge, Elaine Thompson (Keith) of McDonough, Wayne Phillips (Vicki Taylor) of Covington and Angie Gunnels (Mark) of McDonough; and her grandchildren, Joseph Phillips (Carrie), Lanie Beth Sinclair (Brad), Amy Matthews (Casey), Leslie Wilkins (Matt), Zachary Phillips (Lizzy), Wesley Phillips (Jodee), Rachel Gunnels, Lauren Gunnels and Clay Gunnels. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
