He was predeceased by: his father Dewey Edward Howell Sr.; and his brother Dewey "Slugger" Howell Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Emily Elaine McTier Howell; his mother Mary Helen Tilton Howell; his children, John Howell, Dewey "Jack" Howell III (Sabrina) and Chris Howell; his siblings, Penny Chaney (Robert), James Howell (Nicky) and Victor Howell; and his granddaughter Christina Howell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
