She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Black and Azalee Teat Black; her husband Roscoe Chitwood; and her siblings, Sammy Black and Maderia Holcomb.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra; her son-in-law David Thurman of Martin; and her brother-in-law L. G. Bond of Toccoa. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
