She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Robert Shiflet and Helen Crisp Shiflet; her husband Bucky Carithers; her children, Whitney Frederick (Russ) and Ryan Carithers (Brittney); her grandchildren, Charlotte Strassel, Kendal Strassel, Britton Carithers, Reid Carithers and Olive Kronz; and her sisters, Yvonne Birchmore (Bob), Kay Kinnear (Kreg) and Elaine Hightower (Avery).
