He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Gettys Kotch; his wife Elaine Cheek Hornick of Martin; his son Jeff Hornick (Emily) of Toccoa; his grandchildren, Emma Hornick, Grant Hornick, Nicholas Hornick and Owen Hornick; and his niece Sherry Rae.
