It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Nelson of Marshallville, Georgia, born in Montezuma, Georgia, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, W. G. Nelson and Mary Underwood Nelson; his children, Matt Nelson (Erin), Holly Nelson Quinn (Lee), Chris Nelson (Traci), Pam Wilson Piazza (Danny) and Amanda Wilson Bell (Stephen); his grandchildren, Bryan Nelson, Bradley Nelson, Madeline Quinn Hale (Carson), Parker Quinn (Megan), Payton Quinn, Charlotte Nelson, Copeland Nelson, Josh Piazza (Bailey), Brayden Bell and Gabe Bell; his sister Beth Hammond (Al); his wife Faye Newton Nelson; and his brother Roger Nelson. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
