He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Charles and Margaret Hamel (Welch); his wife Anna A. Hamel (Ferrara); and his brother Stephen "Charlie" Hamel. He is survived by: his grandson Jarod; his pet Ella; his daughters, Denise Wilson (Russell) of Florida and Deborah Hamel of Georgia; and his granddaughter Samantha Olsen (Matt Drawdy) of Georgia. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
