He was predeceased by: his parents, Virlyn William Chafin, Sr. and Lois Aileen Wehunt Chafin; and his friend Steve Tolbert. He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his siblings, Dianne Patterson of Woodstock, Ellen Derreth of Marietta and Mark Chafin of Marietta, Georgia.; his family, Dianne, Ellen, Mark, Rick, Denise, Linda and Rayford; and his friends, Susan Smith, Mike Estes, Rick Gower and Doc Hopp.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Kennesaw Memorial Park (1306 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, the Alzheimer's Association, or the charity of choice.
