He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouses, Elizabeth Rose (Betty) and Nancy Rose; his daughters, Barbara Rose of Woodstock, GA and Deborah Horn; his son-in-law Lee Van Horn of Winter Garden, FL; his brother Charles Rose; his sister-in-law Dee Rose; and his grandchildren, Elena and Alexander Van Horn. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to the American Liver Foundation.
