She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Williams Sr. and Inez Rockhead (Nibbs); her stepson Steven Assiamah-Ansong of Accra; and her siblings, Albion Williams (Beenie) and Verna Williams.

She is survived by: her daughter Jessica Yaa Assiamah-Ansong; her stepchild Kwabena Mandela Assiamah-Ansong; her husband George Assiamah-Ansong; her children, Shawn and Eric; her siblings, Alvino (V. O.), Myra, Vernon and Elma; and her grandchildren, Alaysia, Tolani Oladele, Cedric, Colin, Erin Assiamah-Ansong and Landyn Craddock. She is also survived by extended family members, and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Southern Cremations and Funerals Columbarium (1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064). A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 4:30 PM at the Kennesaw Memorial Park (1306 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064). A reception was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 1077 Hemphill Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.
