He was predeceased by: his father Ronnie Steve Carroll, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Vera Carroll of Powder Springs, GA; his brother Scott Carroll (Kelly) of Carrollton, GA; and his nieces and nephews, Nathan Carroll (Jerica) of Marietta, GA, Jacob Carroll of Carrollton, GA and Hadley Carroll of Carrollton, GA..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macland Baptist Church for their music ministry.

“I met Steve when visiting Atlanta from Australia. Soon after meeting him I became chronically ill. Steve called me on an almost weekly basis, providing a friendship that has lasted 6 years. I benefited from the different perspectives Steve would share and his loving way of viewing things. I miss his gentle, loving, and humorous nature already. Sending love and sympathy to Vera and family. Remembering Steve for the light he brought into the world and has left in all of us.”
