With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Alonzo Nixon Jr. of Marietta, Georgia, who passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray A. Nixon, Sr. and Mildred Maxine Clegg; and his wife Rosemary C. Nixon. He is survived by: his children, Kim N. Nixon of Atlanta, Sue K. Nixon of Atlanta, Dawn K. Nixon of Vidalia and Chris R. Mashburn of Buford; his partner Shirley M. Ruth; and his grandchildren, Mary A. Johnson (Antwan Johnson) and Jonathan Michael Wuttke.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mt Paran Church of God (2055 Mt Paran Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30327). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
