She was predeceased by: her parents, J. M. Markey and Thema Markey; and her husband Jim Vaughn. She is survived by: her sister Helen Bredenberg; her children, Alan Vaughn and Caroline Thomas (Adam); her grandchildren, Randall Rentz (Ashley), Nick Rentz (Anna), Mitch Thomas (Priscila), Ryan Vaughn and Olivia Vaughn; and her great grandchild James Rentz. She is also survived by many other extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta (56 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (56 Whitlock Ave SW, Marietta, GA 30064).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to First United Methodist Church of Marietta or Camp Kudzu.
