He is survived by: his wife Jean Machen; his sons, John Machen, Jr. of Texas and Scott Machen of Dallas, GA; his niece Denise Machen of California; and his stepchildren, Greg Pickerill (Jackie) of Ball Ground, GA, Lisa Lockhart of Acworth, GA and Stacy Eiselstein (Kyle) of Lookout Mountain, GA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory (2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
