He is survived by: his mother Ruth Ann Lewis Compton; his husband Jared Helton; his siblings, Cathie Bracewell, Steve Compton, Mark Compton (Tammy), Lori Williams (Charlie), Scott Compton (Jan), Lisa Addis (Shane) and Brad Compton; his close friends, Paul, Patti Parker of Woodstock, Michael Brannock of Atlanta, Charles Wildes of Atlanta, Will and Jessica Crawford of Powder Springs, Georgia.; and his extended family, Randy, Lydia Helton, Jessie, Jason Hall, Laila Helton, Dane Coleman and Cali Hall.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Chastain Memorial Park (4400 Old Hwy 76, Blue Ridge, GA 30513).
