He was predeceased by: his parents, William Melvin Ostean Sr. and Emma Sue "Segars" Ostean; his brother Sgt. Major William M. "Bill" Ostean Jr. (Joyce) of Powder Springs; and his grandson Andrew Donald Ozburn. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Payne Ostean; his daughters, Amy Ozburn (Greg) of Winder and Carrie Risley (Ryan) of Suwanee, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Tyler Ozburn, Andrew Ozburn, Chad Risley, Taylor Ostean and Rylee Risley; and his sibling Jerry Ostean (Jane) of Brooklet, Georgia..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
