He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Smithwick and Pauline Smithwick; and his brother Jerome Smithwick. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Duncan Smithwick; and his children, Claudia Bishop (Larry), Steve Smithwick (Donnie), Becky Wishon (Ron) and Paula Glass (Bob). He is also survived by His family included 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:55 PM at the Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home (180 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:55 PM at the same location.
