He was predeceased by: his parents, George Albert Bayer and Blanche Bayer (Barby). He is survived by: his wife Dr. Carey Roth Bayer; his daughter Emma Elizabeth Bayer; his sister Deborah Ann Bayer; his in-laws, Bobbie, Tom and Sarah Strobhar; his nieces and nephews, Sutton and Sloane Woodbridge; and his close friends, Marc Rubenstein and Fran Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mostly Mutts and Trinity Rescue & Equine Sanctuary.
