He is survived by: his daughter Shirley Kent; his stepson Jimmy Shane Bates; his grandchildren, Brittany Kent, Sandra Cosby, Willie Cosby and London Kent; his great grandchildren, Nora Selly and Moana Cosby; his mother Mary Scott; his siblings, Terri, Laura, Reba, Larry and Johnny; and his former wife Sheila Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
