He is survived by: his sons, William Thompson, Jr. (Helen) of Hinesville, Michael Thompson (Delana) of Townsend, James Thompson (Summer) of Soperton, Steven Thompson (Andrea) of Townsend, Casey Thompson (Dave) of Orlando and Sean Thompson (Jayme) of Lake Park, Georgia; his grandchildren, Nolan, Tori, Austin, Paige, Tyler, Sabrina, Cheyenne, Bella, Suzie, Cooper, Peyton, Jace, Hayden, Anna, River, Manny, Ezekiel and Gus; his siblings, James "Buddy" Thompson of Manor, Betty Moore of Manor and Jesse Mae Simmons of Callahan, Florida; and his close friend Sylvester Robinson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
