He was predeceased by: his parents, James Talmadge and Frances Wells Mitchell of Manchester, GA.; and his son Jimmy Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Joy Millsap Mitchell; his sons, Johnny Mitchell (Kristy) and Jeffery Mitchell (Julie); his daughter-in-law Stacy Exley Mitchell; his grandchildren, Dalton (Jessica), Ansley (Joe), Carson (Carl), Claire, Corinne, Garrett and Grace Anna Mitchell; and his great grandchild Chapman Mitchell. He is also survived by several cousins and two nephews.
