With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Carter (Manassas, Georgia), who passed away on April 5, 2019 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Beth Smith Carter; his son Kevin Carter; his parents, Robert "Bob" Carter and Viola Foskey Carter; and his siblings, Jerry Carter and Ruby Carter Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kirkland Carter of Manassas; his sons, Mark Carter and Robert Carter; his stepchildren, Joyce Ann Leggett, Jan K. Griffin, Joseph Kirkland and James Moser; his nieces, Vicky Carter, Terry Carter Coleman and Toni Harris; and his nephew George Robert Smith.
